Martha’s Place is not alone in efforts to revitalize our west Baltimore communities. Invaluable community partnerships with sister organizations help Martha’s Place to address the related needs faced by women (and their children) in addiction recovery. Collectively, these partnerships directly address the following urgent community needs: · Housing - Sandtown Habitat for Humanity which has completely renovated over 200 houses in the community for homeownership · Education - New Song Academy, a 135-student pre-K to 8th grade school which has become a Baltimore City Public School through the city’s New School Initiative · Employment - EDEN Jobs, a job placement center with over 1,200 placements to date · Arts - Jubilee Arts, an emerging arts program created by Newborn Holistic Ministries to provide adult and youth classes in painting, pottery, and dance. Supported by partnerships from Baltimore Clayworks and Maryland Institute College of Art. |
